View of the Indian Army Through My Camera

It was nothing less than being on a special mission, full of risks at every step i.e. shortage of time, lack of information about events, utter lack of co-ordination, occasional insults, non-cooperation by quite a few, taxing health, low budget, high expectations, etc.

Overall, I enjoyed being on this project. I met my old course-mates whom I had not met, after the passing out parade from Officers Training Academy, Chennai in 1984. Also, I met some wonderful officers Lt Gen Mohanty of RVC, Col Karan Mahajan (Commanding Officer of 2nd Sikh Battalion, unit is known as Bravest of Brave), Col RS Gill,SC (Commanding Officer of 9 Para SF, known as Bravest of Brave, its the finest unit of the Indian Army), Col AA Mohammad (Commanding Officer of President Body Guard) one of the finest officers of the Indian Army and above all sixth generation army officer, Lt Col Vivek Chadda, one of the authors of the book (it was impossible to shoot images without his direct involvement for co-ordination, Brig SM Mehta, SM of EME, Lt Col Y Sangwan of RVC (he organised a special shoot with the RVC at a very short notice), etc. The list can go on.
